100 Crore To Be Spent On Eight Roads In Prayagraj To Give The A New Look.

A new look will be given to eight important roads in the city before the beginning of Mahakumbh next year in January. A sum of Rs 100 crore has been earmarked for this purpose.

A seperate sum of RS 50 crore will be spent on Chandrashekhar Azad library, Bharti Bhawan library, women’s hostel, marriage hall and parking places.
A waste management plant will be set up at Baswar at the cost of Rs 16.5 Crore. A plant to process the waste and garbage is already functioning at Baswar.
The Municipal Corporation trucks carry waste and garbage in trucks to this plant on daily basis.
Roads that will be given new look are in Kalyani Devi, Civil Lines, Tagore Town, Nurullah Road , Shantipuran, Kasari Masari, Medical College area and Khuldabad.
Besides 120 electric buses were being purchases for deployment during  Kumbh. Besides, the state is going to purchase 1000 new buses.
Preference will be given to electric buses in place of diesel run vehicles that add to pollution.
