Prayagraj: UPPSC removes 315 Experts From Its Panel

Prayagraj: In a significant move to maintain the integrity of its recruitment process, the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has removed 315 experts from its panel.

This marks the third major action against experts in three years, following the dismissal of 100 experts on July 3, 2023, and approximately 80 experts on August 22, 2022. The latest action is the largest in scale compared to the previous two rounds.

According to UPPSC Controller of Examinations Harshdev Pandey, the commission regularly reviews the quality of confidential work handled by experts, including question paper preparation, evaluation, and other selection-related responsibilities.

During the latest review, it was found that several experts were not adhering to prescribed rules and established standards. As a result, these 315 experts have been removed from handling the commission’s confidential processes.

Commission officials emphasized that an institutional mechanism has been developed to continuously monitor the quality of work performed by experts.

Any expert failing to meet standards and regulations in the future will also be removed from the panel.

To further strengthen the confidential selection process, the commission has also added renowned and highly qualified experts from across the country to its panel.

The goal is to ensure high-quality question papers, accurate evaluation, and transparent interviews.

This step comes in the wake of significant candidate protests over incorrect questions in the PCS 2024 and RO/ARO 2023 examinations, which had raised concerns about the quality and reliability of the examination process. UPPSC, which recruits experts from across the nation for various subjects, continues to invite applications online from eligible professionals.

These experts play a crucial role in question paper creation, moderation, answer evaluation, and interviews.

With this latest move, the UPPSC has sent a clear message that quality and compliance will remain non-negotiable, ensuring that the state’s recruitment processes are fair, transparent, and of the highest standard.
