A beastly murder

The body of a 26-year-old woman cut in thirty pieces was found stuffed in a 165-litre fridge in Bengaluru.

A foul smell emanating from the house prompted the neighbor to alert the police leading to the recovery of the body cut into pieces.
The deceased identified as Mahalaxmi had come from Delhi and was working in a mall. She had a child who was living with her estranged husband. She lived on the first floor of Veranna Bhawan on Pipe Line Road under Vyalikaval police station in Bengaluru.
According to neighbours a youth used to take her to the mall and dropped her back daily. Police suspect the youth’s hand in this gruesome murder that reminds us of Shradha Walkar’s murder committed in a similar manner in Delhi.
The deceased woman’s mother and sister arrived from Delhi after police informed them.
Forensic teams investigated every detail and took away samples. Police lodged a case of murder and are working to crack the case that has shaken residents due to the brutality with which it was carried out.
