ADM (law and order) Ayodhya, Surjeet Kumar, was found dead in his official residence under mysterious circumstances. Some blood on the floor of the room was also there.
Senior police officers reached the place and tried to investigate the case.
The body was sent for autopsy.
The officer was posted at Ayodhya in October 2023. He hailed from Farukhabad district and was staying all alone. His family lives in Kanpur’s Ganesh Nagar locality.
The incident came to light after the maidservant could not get any response despite repeated pressing of the doorbell.
People came in after she expressed her apprehension.
Commissioner Gaurav Dayal and DM Chandra Vijay Singh rushed to the place with senior police officers upon getting the news.
A high-level investigation is going on in the case to find the cause of such a death. The postmortem result would also help police in finding the cause of death.
