Allahabad High Court Lawyers On Warpath: Abstained From Work On Tuesday: To Abstain From Work On Wednesday Also.

On a call given by the Allahabad High Court Bar Association (HCBA), the lawyers of Allahabad High Court will abstain from judicial work on Wednesday (July 10) in order to highlight certain problems being faced by them. On Tuesday also lawyers abstained from work.
According to HCBA office-bearers, the basic demands of association are being declined by the court administration.
In an emergent meeting held on Tuesday, which was presided over by HCBA’s president Anil Tiwari and conducted by secretary Vikrant Pandey, it was resolved that the members of bar will abstain from judicial work on Wednesday (July 10)  and thereafter hold a meeting  at 5 p.m. on the same day to decide future course of action.
Besides, for all the demands of HCBA, a request letter would be sent to chief justice for information and for taking necessary steps so that corrective measures are ensured.
In the resolution, the HCBA has warned that if any lawyer goes contrary to the resolution, his/her membership will stand cancelled.
However, the office-bearers of HCBA have requested the chief justice to take immediate steps so that demands of lawyers are considered and rectified.
