Article published by a newspaper claiming that Shah Rukh Khan’s Chaahat and Duplicate were flops is UNTRUE

Over the years, the legendary Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt has directed produced and written several acclaimed, influential and successful films, including ‘Saraansh’ (1984), ‘Naam’ (1986), Daddy (1989), Sadak  ‘Aashiqui’ (1990), ‘Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahin’ (1991), Sadak (1991) ‘Zakhm’ (1998), and ‘Raaz’ (2002) and many others.
It is allegedly reported by a newspaper, years ago, that Mahesh Bhatt, the living legend described himself as ‘the only man who has made two flops with one of the biggest superstars of the Globe-
Shah Rukh Khan, Since then this totally wrong information about Shah Rukh Khan with the name of Mahesh Bhatt is being published and republished every now and then, the incorrect report claims that Mahesh Bhatt said, “It requires a king and a gentleman to treat a person who has not delivered a hit… Our business thrives on relationships of convenience. It’s a commercial relationship. It’s a give and take. When a director delivers a flop with a star, the star’s demeanour often changes. To not lose the respect that you had for a person even in the face of failure requires a different kind of temperament.”

Guys, I am sure that this report is a half cooked or a total lie and haven’t said by Mahesh Bhatt as his Chaahat and Duplicate were not flops, infact both were successful movies.
The Indian Film Industry Bollywood is proud of Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, he has contributed with so much of classics to the Indian Film Industry as a director, producer and screenwriter. We are you thankful and Salute the icon of millions.
Mahesh Bhatt is an extrovert person and is known for speaking his heart-out without being scared. He is gem of a person with a noble soul.
Mahesh Bhatt has received several accolades, including four National Film Award and three Filmfare Awards.

It is morally and ethically wrong and Sin to propagate incorrect informations. Mahesh Bhatt and Shah Rukh Khan the two living legends together gave two films Chaahat and Duplicate and they weren’t flops.

Chaahat
grossed ₹1.77 crore (US$210,000) nett in its opening weekend, and had a first week of ₹3.05 crore (US$370,000) nett. The film earned a total of ₹ 6.87 crore (US$820,000) nett, and was declared a profit maker, it’s life time earning was much better than so called hit Films.
