In an interaction with the media people, when actor Sameer Soni was asked to share a misconception about Bollywood, Sameer Soni said, ” My answer might be a bit political,   there is a tendency to group Bollywood together, as if it is one industry, where everyone is together”.
Bollywood Reporter www.bollywoodreporters.com asked, “:So, you want to say that Bollywood isn’t a one Industry?”
“It isn’t like that. It is a film business. If I am a producer who can make more money signing you than someone else, I will sign you. Bollywood is not homogenous; everybody is not the same. There are groups, with a lot of commonalities, like anywhere in the world or in any industry, where they like doing similar things or share similar interests. But there is no ‘one industry.’”
There was another question, ” Is Bollywood a place full of evil-beings?” Sameer Soni replied, “Bollywood is being Politically defamed, there are people who intentionally presenting Bollywood where all of us are druggies  and characterless people, but that’s not true. It’s just like any other professional Industry.”
Sameer Soni further said, “After Sushant Singh Rajput’s passing away in 2020, the Hindi film industry- Bollywood was embroiled in a political storm, with those working in Bollywood being labelled ‘druggies’, but this isn’t true at all.”
