CBI arrests Dr Sandeep Ghosh, principal RG Kar Medical College and SHO Taka police station in Kolkata on charges of their dubious role in the murder of the Junior Doctor

The CBI has arrested Dr Sandeep Ghosh, Principal RG Kar Medical College Kolkata on charges of tampering with evidence in the brutal rape and murder of a junior doctor.

The CBI has also arrested  Abhijit Mandal SHO Tala police station on charges of erasing evidence in this murder case that triggered nationwide doctor’s protests, sit-ins, and abstinence from work.
Till now police have arrested three persons in this talked about murder case that brought the public, social workers, and politicians also on the streets to register their angst.
Police had arrested a civic volunteer Sanjay Roy on the second day of the murder from his house where he was stated to be resting.
 Earlier, CBI had arrested Dr Sandeep Ghosh on corruption charges at the hospital and remanded him to judicial custody.
The CBI found that Dr Sandeep Ghosh had ordered repairing of the rooms attached to the seminar hall a day after the murder.
The doctor’s body was found in the seminar hall in a shocking state. She was nearly naked with marks of deep injuries at various spits on her body. Her limbs were broken and her feet wide open beyond imagination.
Dr Ghosh had also ordered the renovation of a toilet also attached to the rooms. CBI has found signatures of principal Dr Sandeep Ghosh in the order papers.
According to CBI the orders passed by Dr Sandeep Ghosh demonstrate that he was in a hurry to get the repairs done.
 This order creates a bridge between financial irregularities and the murder of the doctor at the RG Kar hospital.
The SHO was arrested for his role in lodging the FIR after the murder. Earlier, the CBI had questioned the SHO eight times.
On all occasions, he gave different versions.
