CM Yogi Adityanath Reviews Kanwar Yatra Preparations, Orders Strict Vigil and Seamless Arrangements

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister #YogiAdityanath on Monday conducted a detailed review of the preparations for the upcoming #KanwarYatra2025, one of North India’s largest annual religious pilgrimages.

As part of his assessment, the Chief Minister undertook an aerial survey of the yatra route, flying from #HindonAirport in Ghaziabad to #Bijnor, a key stretch that witnesses heavy footfall of devotees during the pilgrimage.

During the high-level review, the Chief Minister directed officials to implement strict and proactive measures to ensure that the #KanwarYatra is conducted peacefully, safely, and with full respect for the religious sentiments of the devotees.

Stressing the importance of maintaining order and sanctity during the yatra, he instructed authorities to enforce a zero-tolerance policy against any individual or group found attempting to contaminate or disrespect food and other offerings provided to the devotees.

“The yatra must take place in a completely peaceful and well-organised atmosphere,” Yogi Adityanath said.

He added that any attempts to disturb the harmony or create a nuisance during the sacred event must be dealt with sternly and without delay.

“Anyone caught indulging in acts such as defiling food or disrupting religious harmony will face the strictest legal consequences,” he said, underlining the state’s firm commitment to protecting the sanctity of religious traditions.

The Chief Minister emphasized the need for comprehensive arrangements along the yatra route, which will be used by thousands of #Kanwariyas (devotees of Lord Shiva) as they make their way on foot to collect holy water from the Ganga and offer it at local #ShivTemples.

He instructed district-level officials and police authorities to ensure the availability of key facilities such as tents, hygienic food, drinking water, sanitation, medical aid, and resting areas.

Special attention was also directed toward traffic management, crowd control, and round-the-clock monitoring via drones and CCTV, to ensure maximum safety and convenience for the pilgrims.

The Chief Minister’s aerial survey and his proactive approach have drawn appreciation from various quarters for ensuring a well-coordinated and secure religious experience for all participants.
