As December draws to a close and the new year approaches, several regions in India are bracing for an intense cold wave.
Uttar Pradesh is experiencing severe cold, with minimal sunlight offering little relief.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a press release on Saturday, forecasting cold wave conditions to commence in parts of North India from December 29, 2024.
According to the IMD’s warning, cold wave to severe cold wave conditions are likely in some areas of Himachal Pradesh on December 30 and 31.
Isolated pockets in Himachal Pradesh are expected to experience cold wave conditions from December 29 to January 1. Similar situations are predicted in Punjab and Haryana-Chandigarh from December 29 to January 3, as well as in Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad and Rajasthan on December 30 and 31.
