A Mother’s Love: Baking for Dua
Recently, Deepika shared a very personal and heartwarming moment with her fans. To celebrate the first birthday of her daughter, Dua, she decided not to rely on a professional baker or luxury confectionery. Instead, she personally baked a chocolate cake at home.
Sharing the celebration on her social media handle, Deepika posted glimpses of the birthday moment alongside husband Ranveer Singh and little Dua. She captioned it:
“My love language? Baking a cake for my daughter’s 1st birthday.”
For many of her admirers, this was a refreshing reminder that, despite being one of the world’s most admired celebrities, Deepika cherishes her role as a mother above all. When Dua grows up, this clipping will serve as a precious memory, reflecting just how caring and nurturing her mother has always been.

- She reportedly exited Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s ambitious project Spirit, starring Prabhas, in May 2025 due to professional disagreements. Reports claimed her demands included an 8-hour workday, a high remuneration package, and profit-sharing rights. These terms allegedly led to differences, and director Vanga later voiced his displeasure publicly, though without directly naming her. Eventually, Triptii Dimri was brought in as her replacement.
- Following this, she was also dropped from the sequel of Kalki 2898 AD due to scheduling and commitment conflicts. The production house stated that a project of such magnitude required greater availability than Deepika could provide at the time.
While these setbacks could have dented the career of a lesser star, for Deepika, they are mere bumps on a highway of success. Her stature in the industry remains unshaken, with filmmakers eagerly queuing up for her nod to headline their next projects.
Deepika Padukone continues to be a rare blend of talent, resilience, global influence, and personal warmth.
