Eight year old girl raped and murdered in Sorano, Allahabad

An eight-year-old girl was raped and murdered in Kalandpur village under Soraon police station in Allahabad district. The girl had gone to see Durga puja at a place in the town on Thursday evening when she went missing. Her body was found in a field 200 meters behind her house in an agricultural field.

The victim had gone to a medical store to get an injection for her ailing father. She asked her mother for Rs 10 for herself saying she would return after watching the Durga Puja for a while. But she never returned.

A large number of locals gathered at the place while the police force also reached.

There were marks of injuries on her head as well as some body parts.

Police are investigating the case and a medical report is awaited.

The girl’s family is extremely poor.
