Saharanpur: The Jammu & Kashmir Police team probing the activities of Dr. Adil has returned after 36 hours of intensive questioning.
During their investigation, the officers also questioned individuals associated with the management of the well-known Famous Hospital in Ambala.
Meanwhile, several intelligence units continue to camp in the district, tracking down people linked to Dr. Adil.
Probe Widens to Dubai Connections
Authorities are also examining Dr. Adil’s suspected links to Dubai. As part of the ongoing probe, the UP ATS on Saturday detained five individuals from Deoband, Shamli, and different parts of Saharanpur.
All are believed to be close associates of the arrested doctor.
Multiple State Agencies on High Alert
Following Dr. Adil’s arrest, police teams from Saharanpur, Haryana, Punjab, Jammu & Kashmir, and central intelligence agencies have heightened surveillance.
Sources indicate that ATS picked up five of his close contacts on Saturday as well, detaining them from the cities, Deoband and Shamli. They are being interrogated at undisclosed locations.
Local authorities have not officially confirmed the detentions, but joint teams have conducted several raids over the past 48 hours. Investigators are scrutinising the mobile phones, laptops, call records, and social-media activity of every detained individual.
Intelligence inputs shared with agencies in Punjab, J&K, and Haryana suggest that several people in and around Saharanpur remained in active contact with Dr. Adil. His phone records reportedly include numbers of some Kashmiri students.
Security agencies are now trying to determine why Dr. Adil chose Saharanpur as his base and what specific activities he was running from the city.
