The new city parking policy that Allahabad Nagar Nigam will implement is drawing severe criticism from all quarters.
Former City North MLA Anugrah Narain Singh, former Corporator Shivsewak Singh, Anu Ghildiyal, and PUCLs Kamal Krishna expressed grave concern and vowed to protest against this unjustified action of Nagar Nigam.
Under this policy, people must pay parking fees even if the vehicle is parked in front of their house.
In a joint press conference, the MLA said, he would raise this issue in the assembly as the new policy has been nearly implemented.
A two-wheeler parked outside a house for two hours would have to pay Rs 15 as parking fees and car owners would be taxed even more heavily.
The former MLA said he would seek the help of different organizations and citizens to stand up against this policy and prepare to register their protest.
