“Four People Jailed for Putting Up ‘I Love Mohammad’ Posters”

The Sarai Inayat police filed a case against six people for allegedly putting up controversial posters at public places in Jaitpur village. Out of them, four were arrested and sent to jail on Saturday.

During routine night patrolling on Friday, Hanumanganj police outpost in-charge, Sub-Inspector Ramayan Singh, noticed posters and banners with the words “I Love Mohammad” pasted on electricity poles and along public pathways in Jaitpur, which is a mixed-population village.

The police immediately detained four individuals while they were actively putting up the posters.

Some posters had already been displayed earlier in Jaitpur village. Additional posters with the slogan “I Love Mohammad” were being put up when the police intervened.

At that moment, four people were taken into custody and were later sent to jail under preventive action for disturbing the peace. In total, a case has been registered against six accused persons. – Sanjay Gupta, Station House Officer, Sarai Inayat

    On Friday night, in Jaitpur village under Sarai Inayat police station limits, law enforcement officers caught individuals while they were engaged in putting up posters.
  • Case Registered Against Six Villagers
    Altogether, a criminal case has been registered against six residents of the village in connection with the act.

Based on the written complaint submitted by Sub-Inspector Ramayan Singh, the case was officially registered late on Saturday evening against the following six accused:

  • Akbar Ameer Khan alias Munna Khan
  • Gulab Hussain alias Raju
  • Ibadat Ali
  • Salauddin
  • Maulana Iftikhar Hussain
  • Mustafa (all residents of Jaitpur)

Following this, four of them were sent to jail under charges related to disturbing public peace.
