Hindu organization’s in US and Europe call upon UN to stop persecution of Hindus in Bangladesh

The Bangladeshi Minorities Alliance, a coalition of Hindu organizations from the US and Europe, has called upon the United Nations to take swift measures to halt the systematic persecution of Hindus in Bangladesh.

“The ongoing attacks against Hindus and Buddhists represent more than just governmental negligence; it reflects humanity’s inadequate response and moral failure,” stated Richa Gautam from CaresGlobal, a member organization of the Bangladeshi Minorities Alliance.

Indian American protesters conducted a demonstration march from the White House to the US Capitol protesting violence against Hindus in Bangladesh.

The peaceful protesters, chanting “We want Justice” and “Protect Hindus,” called on both the current Biden administration and the incoming Trump administration to pressure Bangladesh’s new government to implement protective measures for Hindus and prosecute those responsible for attacks.

The demonstration took place on Monday addressing anti-Hindu violence in Bangladesh. The event organizers—StopHinduGenocide.org.org, Bangladeshi Diaspora organizations, and HinduACTion—urged American companies to boycott Bangladeshi garments, noting the country’s significant reliance on US exports.

“This demonstration goes beyond seeking justice; it demands responsibility. Today, Bangladeshi Hindus and the broader Hindu diaspora from the Indian subcontinent have united to support Bangladesh’s Hindu population because there is continuing violence going on in Bangladesh, especially in Chittagong and Rangpur area as well as some other parts of the country said the demonstrators.
