Well, recently, in conversation with media people at Rising Bharat Summit 2025, Kajol mentioned that she is one of the least working actors in the industry. She also explained why she chose to work less.
Speaking at the summit, Kajol said, “I am the least worked actor in the whole film industry. Puri film industry mein jo log recently aaye hai unn logon ne zyada kaam kiya hoga.
Mujhse zayada. I think my filmography is all about 50-55 films that’s it.” And when asked if she is choosy or lazy?
The actress, “Dono. I choose to be lazy. I choose to have a slower life. I choose to enjoy my life as along with working. I think working should be part of my life not apart of my life. And every which way I have found a balance to life. I like my coffee, slow morning. I love my life.”
Kajol is celebrated for her ability to portray a wide range of characters, from romantic leads to strong, complex female roles.
Her breakthrough roles in films like “Baazigar” (1993) and “Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge” (1995) solidified her status as a leading actress.

She holds the record for the most Best Actress wins at the Filmfare Awards, tied with her aunt Nutan.
