I will not have hesitation in sacrificing power for Ram Mandir, declares Aditya Nath: Seers hail him as saint

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday reaffirmed his deep commitment to the Ram Temple, stating that he would have no hesitation in sacrificing power for its cause.

Speaking at an event in Ayodhya, the Chief Minister revealed that his family’s association with the Ram Janmabhoomi movement spans three generations.

“My family has been part of the struggle for Shri Ram Janmabhoomi for generations. I have no problem sacrificing power for the Ram Temple. We are not here for political power,” he asserted.

Adityanath also reflected on the initial resistance he faced when he introduced Deepotsav—the grand celebration of lighting earthen lamps in Ayodhya—during his tenure.

“When we started Deepotsav in Ayodhya, many people advised against my visit, warning that it could stir controversy since the Ram Temple issue was still unresolved. But I made it clear that I was not concerned about power or politics. Let there be controversy; my priority is Ram Mandir,” he declared.

During his visit to Ayodhya, Adityanath paid obeisance at the Ram Temple and the revered Hanumangarhi temple, reinforcing his spiritual commitment to the region.

Later, he attended a start-up exhibition at Ram Katha Park, where he distributed loans worth ₹47 crore to young entrepreneurs, aiming to foster economic growth in the region.

The seers and saints of Ayodhya lauded Adityanath’s dedication, emphasizing that he was a saint first and a politician later. His remarks were seen as a reaffirmation of his spiritual connection with the Ram Temple cause and his willingness to prioritize faith over political aspirations.
