In the 117th episode of Mann Ki Baat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the unique significance of the Maha Kumbh, celebrating its vastness and diversity.
He noted that crores of devotees gather for the event, including lakhs of saints, thousands of traditions, hundreds of sects, and numerous Akharas, all becoming part of this grand celebration.
Highlighting the spirit of inclusivity, PM Modi remarked, “There is no discrimination here—no one is superior, no one is inferior. Such unity in diversity is unparalleled worldwide, making our Kumbh a true Maha Kumbh of unity.”
The Prime Minister called upon citizens to participate in the forthcoming Maha Kumbh with a pledge of unity. “Let us resolve to eliminate divisions and hatred in society. In simple words, I’d say, Maha Kumbh Ka Sandesh, Ek Ho Poora Desh—The message of Maha Kumbh is unity for the entire nation. Like the uninterrupted flow of the Ganga, let our society remain undivided: Ganga Ki Aviral Dhara, Na Bante Samaj Hamara,” he added.
PM Modi also announced that this year’s Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj will feature a digital transformation. Devotees will benefit from digital navigation systems to locate ghats, temples, and Akharas, as well as parking areas.
For the first time, an AI chatbot will be deployed to provide information about Kumbh in 11 Indian languages. Visitors can seek assistance through text or voice commands.
AI-powered cameras will monitor the fairgrounds, aiding in reuniting individuals separated from their groups. Additionally, a digital lost-and-found center will be available. Information about government-approved tour packages, accommodations, and homestays will be accessible via mobile phones. PM Modi urged attendees to utilize these services and share selfies with the hashtag #EktaKaMahakumbh.
The Prime Minister also highlighted the global influence of Indian culture, citing an inspiring example of a 13-year-old differently-abled girl from Egypt who painted the Taj Mahal using her mouth.
He shared that recently, over 23,000 Egyptian students participated in a painting competition showcasing Indian culture and the historic ties between India and Egypt. Praising their creativity, he remarked, “Their artistic talent deserves boundless appreciation.”
