In an unbelievable incident a man stabbed to death his two daughters aged three and five years old and hanged himself to death in his house in Ramman Ka Pura locality under Dhumanganj police station of the city in Allahabad.
The man identified as Manish alias Lalla 33 worked as a painter and electrician and was living in a rented accomodation close to his house along with his wife and two daughters.
His wife Sangeeta had gone to the market at the time of the incident.
According to the wife she had gone to Sulem Sarai market for shopping. Her husband was at home with the two daughters around 1pm on Sunday.
The door was closed from inside when she returned home after an hour.
There was no response when she knocked the door, her husband’s mobile was also switched off.
This alarmed her and neighbours gathered soon. They broke the window panes and saw the two girls lying dead in a pool of blood while Manish could be seen hanging from the ceiling.
Meanwhile, police officers rushed to the spot along with DCP Deepak Bhukar. The door was broken open amid video recording.
The wife could not tell the cause behind her husband’s extreme step. Police could not find any suicide note also.
The couple had a love marriage. It is being felt that frequent family squabble could be the cause behind this incident. However, police investigation is going on in this case.
