NEET-UG 2024 Final Results : Number Of Toppers Reduced To Seventeen

Under attack from various quarters and hue and cry from student lobbies from all over the country, the National Testing Agency ( NTA) declared the NEET -UG 2024 exams’ final result on Friday.

After the Supreme Court’s directives, the number of toppers has come down to 17.
This change in the ranking has reportedly affected some 20,000 students in the country.
The names of tainted students have been removed from the second list this time.
The Supreme Court has refused to scrap this examination despite several PILs, saying such a move would unnecessarily affect a very large section of students. At the same time irregularities had not been reported nor was there any evidence of widespread malpractice.
There were 67 toppers in the earlier announced results.
After removing the grace marks of six students the number of toppers was reduced further.
Names of forty-four students were further deleted after it was discovered that they had given wrong answers to a question. These students had scored 720 marks.
When the second list of examinations was declared after going through the above-mentioned exercise the answer score was further reduced to 715.
Names of two Delhi students  Mridul Manya Anand and Divyansh figure in the toppers list. Toppers from UP include Ayush Naugraiyya and Aryan Yadav. Others are Mansoor from Bihar, Prachita and Saurabh, Rajasthan, Gunmay Garg, Punjab, Ardhdeep Dutta, West Bengal, Subhan Sen Gupta, Palansha Agrawal, and Maney Neha Kuldeep from Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu..
