NSA Ajit Doval Rebukes Foreign Media Over Operation Sindoor Reporting, Cites Lack of Proof for Claims Against India

In a powerful address delivered during the 62nd convocation ceremony of IIT Madras, India’s National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval strongly criticised certain foreign media outlets for spreading misinformation regarding Operation Sindoor, a high-precision military operation recently carried out by Indian security forces.

Speaking to an audience of graduates, faculty members, and dignitaries, Doval highlighted the discrepancy between facts on the ground and international media narratives, especially those suggesting damage on Indian territory during the operation.

Doval dismissed these reports as baseless and challenged the foreign press to back their claims with verifiable evidence.
“The foreign press said Pakistan carried out attacks causing damage on the Indian side. I challenge them—show me even one photo, one satellite image, anything that displays damage to any Indian structure. Not even a single broken glass pane has been shown,” he stated emphatically.

He emphasized that satellite imagery—freely available and analysed globally—tells a very different story. According to him, the same foreign outlets that claimed Indian losses also published before-and-after satellite images clearly showing the destruction of 13 Pakistani airbases.
“Look at the images. Whether it’s Sargodha, Rahim Yar Khan, or Chaklala, the images show airbase devastation inside Pakistan post-May 10,” he added.

Doval praised the Indian Armed Forces for conducting the retaliatory strikes with clinical precision and extraordinary speed. The entire operation, he noted, was completed in less than 23 minutes, targeting and destroying key terror infrastructure within both Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).

The operation was launched during the night of May 6–7, in direct response to a brutal terrorist attack that took place in Pahalgam, Kashmir, on April 22. In that attack, Pakistan-backed terrorists killed 26 innocent civilians, prompting a strong and swift military reply from India.

Operation Sindoor, according to Doval, successfully neutralized nine high-value terror camps, including the headquarters of Lashkar-e-Taiba and Hizbul Mujahideen—two notorious terror organisations that have long been responsible for perpetrating violence in the Kashmir region.

Doval’s remarks underline the growing confidence within Indian strategic circles regarding their ability to carry out trans-border counter-terror operations while maintaining operational secrecy and efficiency. They also reflect increasing frustration with foreign media narratives that, according to Indian officials, often lean toward misreporting or unverified assumptions when it comes to regional conflicts.

Doval concluded his speech by reiterating that India does not need validation for its military actions from biased external voices, especially when facts are clearly visible through global technological tools like satellite surveillance.
“We are capable of destroying terror networks and eliminating threats to our nation, and we’ve done exactly that,” he said, reaffirming India’s resolve in the face of cross-border terrorism.
