PM Modi Applauds Rajya Sabha Nominations, Highlights Contributions of Four Eminent Personalities

On Sunday, Prime Minister #NarendraModi extended his heartfelt congratulations to four eminent personalities who have been nominated to the #RajyaSabha by President #DroupadiMurmu.
The nominations, announced through a notification by the Ministry of Home Affairs dated July 12, 2025, were made on the recommendation of the Union Council of Ministers under the constitutional authority granted by Article 80(1)(a) of the #IndianConstitution.
The four distinguished individuals nominated to the Upper House of Parliament are: renowned public prosecutor #UjjwalNikam, veteran educator and social activist #CSadanandanMaster, seasoned diplomat #HarshVardhanShringla, and acclaimed historian and scholar #DrMeenakshiJain.
In a series of posts shared on the social media platform X, Prime Minister Modi commended each nominee for their outstanding service and accomplishments in their respective fields.
He also expressed confidence that their presence in the Rajya Sabha would bring depth, knowledge, and diversity of perspective to the nation’s legislative process.
Legal Luminary Ujjwal Nikam
PM Modi praised Ujjwal Nikam for his steadfast commitment to upholding the rule of law and constitutional values throughout his legal career.
Nikam, who is known for handling several high-profile and sensitive cases, has earned national respect for his unwavering pursuit of justice.
Highlighting his contributions, the Prime Minister wrote,

 

“Shri #UjjwalNikam’s devotion to the legal field and to our Constitution is exemplary. He has not only been a successful lawyer but also stood at the forefront in the pursuit of justice in some of the most important cases in our judicial history.

C. Sadanandan Master – A Beacon of Resilience and Service
Commending the indomitable spirit of C. Sadanandan Master, PM Modi described him as a symbol of perseverance in the face of adversity.
Despite facing personal threats and physical attacks for his nationalist ideals, Master continued to serve society with dedication, particularly as an educator and advocate for youth empowerment.

Diplomatic Visionary Harsh Vardhan Shringla
The Prime Minister also acknowledged the exemplary contributions of Harsh Vardhan Shringla in the domain of international relations and diplomacy.
Shringla has served as India’s Foreign Secretary and has played a crucial role in shaping the country’s foreign policy, particularly during the G20 Presidency under India’s leadership.
Appreciating his strategic insight, PM Modi stated,
