PM Narendra Modi Tops Global Popularity Charts Once Again with 75% Approval Rating

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has once again been declared the world’s most popular democratic leader, securing an impressive 75% approval rating, according to the latest Morning Consult Global Leader Approval Ratings survey conducted from July 4 to 10, 2025.
This marks the fifth consecutive time that Modi has topped this influential global tracker, which monitors public opinion on leading democratic heads of state through rolling seven-day averages across multiple countries.
According to the US-based data intelligence firm Morning Consult, three out of every four Indians surveyed expressed satisfaction with Modi’s leadership, while 18% disapproved and 7% remained undecided.

 Global Rankings
Modi led the global list ahead of South Korean President Lee Jae Myung, who garnered 59% approval, taking the second position. Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump, currently in his second term following his return to office in 2024, was ranked eighth with a 44% approval rating.
Analysts attribute Trump’s lower rating to ongoing domestic policy controversies and trade disputes that have divided public sentiment within the United States.

 Survey Methodology
Morning Consult’s approval tracker gathers opinions from adult populations across major democracies using a simple seven-day moving average to reflect evolving public views. The data for this round was collected between July 4 and 10, 2025, and is representative of each country’s adult population.

 Modi’s Historic Leadership Record
This recognition coincides with a major personal milestone for PM Modi: he recently completed his 4,078th day in office, surpassing Indira Gandhi to become India’s second-longest continuously serving Prime Minister, second only to Jawaharlal Nehru.
Modi’s consistent presence at the top of global rankings isn’t new. Since September 2021, when his approval rating stood at 70%, his popularity has grown steadily. By early 2022, it climbed to 71%, and multiple peaks of 76% were recorded throughout 2023. The highest point came in February 2024, when he reached a remarkable 78% approval—a testament to his enduring domestic and global appeal.

 BJP Reaction
Reacting to the survey, Amit Malviya, head of the BJP’s IT cell, took to X (formerly Twitter), stating:

“Loved by over a billion Indians and respected by millions across the globe, PM Narendra Modi tops the Morning Consult Global Leader Approval Tracker once again — the highest-rated and most trusted leader worldwide. Strong leadership. Global respect. Bharat is in safe hands.”

 Global Recognition, Local Impact
PM Modi’s continued dominance in international approval rankings reflects his broad-based domestic popularity, strategic global outreach, and an image of strong and decisive leadership. As India positions itself as a rising global power, Modi’s consistent top rankings in global opinion polls reinforce his stature not just within the country, but on the world stage.
