Pune Porshe car accident teen that killed two young engineers on May 19 freed by Bombay High Court: Court bound by law observes bench.

The Pune teenager accused in the Porshe car accident that killed two young engineers is out of jail now.

The Bombay High court has directed his immediate release.

The accident on May 19 had drawn nation wide protests.

The bench of Justices Bharti Dangre and Manjusha Deshpandey observed,  ‘we are bound by law, the aims and objectives of the Juvenile Act and must treat him as any child in conflict with law seperately from adult despite the seriousness of the crime’.

The court also termed that the Juvenile Justice Board’s order against the child was illegal and passed without jurisdiction.

The ruling came in a habeus corpus petition filed by the boy’s aunt.

The teenager will be at his aunts place as his parents and grandfather are in jail after they tried to cover up the incident.

Aneesh Awaidhya and Ashwini Kostha two engineers on their bike were blown in the air due to massive hit by the Porsche car driven by this youth said to be heavily drunk.

Two of his friends were also in the car.

They were all drinking heavily in a pub celebrating examination results.

After this the boy sped in high speed along with his friends in the car that hit the two youngmen.

A crowd severaly beat up the teens on the spot. They were handed over to the police but were granted bail within 15 hours of the accident by a court.

The parents, grandfather and close men to the family made all out efforts to prove the innocence of the teen and even got blood samples changed.

But this came to light and the medical staff and a doctor were also caught involved in saving the boy.

The accident drew countrywide protests and the teenage was sent to jail.

His father is a rich Pune realtor.
