In a tragic incident seventeen persons died in a collision between a bus and a Max Pic up on Agra- Alugarh highway on Friday.
According to reports eighteen persons sustained injuries in this accident. They were being treated at a hospital in Aligarh.
PM Narendra Modi and CM UP Yogi Aditya Nath have expressed grief over the accident.
The Pic up occupants hailing from Semra village in Khadaunli area had come to Mukundkheda village in Sasni area of Hathras district to attend a feast. There were 35 people in thus vehicle.
After the feast they were returning home in the evening when their vehicle collided head on against a roadways bus near Mitai village on the Aligarh Agra highway.
The bus was heading towards Dehradun. The impact of the Collission was so intense that several occupants were tossed away to a distance,
Several people and children died in the spot.
The central and state government’s have announces ex gratia payment of Rs 2 lakh to the families of the deceased and compensation of Rs 50,000 to the injured.
