Several areas in the city are witnessing power cuts, given the Maha Kumbh power upgradation
Given Maha Kumbh which begins in January 2025, the power department is not hastening to carry out large-scale work which would mean power outages.
The power department will lay an underground cable from Kothaparcha, Kydganj to Yamuna Bridge. As such there will be several power cuts in a large area. This power cut could last up to October 12. During these days about a dozen localities will remain affected from 11 am to 4 pm.
In the Bamrauli area electricity supply will remain suspended for several hours from 11 am onward. The areas that will see power cuts include Mundera, Mundera Mandi, Neem Sarai, Raj Kamal Society, and several other adjoining parts.
