Terrorists open fire in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kulgam; Ex Serviceman killed, wife, cousin injured

An ex-serviceman tragically lost his life, while two women, including his wife and a cousin, sustained gunshot wounds during a terrorist attack in the Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday, according to officials.

The incident occurred in the Behibagh area of the district when terrorists opened fire on Manzoor Ahmad Wagay, a former member of the armed forces, along with his wife and cousin. The unprovoked attack left the three individuals seriously injured, creating a wave of panic and fear in the region.

Following the shooting, residents and security personnel quickly acted to transport the injured victims to a nearby hospital for immediate medical attention. Despite the doctors’ best efforts, Manzoor Ahmad Wagay succumbed to his injuries, leaving behind a grieving family and community. His wife and cousin, who were also injured in the attack, are currently receiving treatment for their gunshot wounds.
