The All India Akhara Parishad banishes thirteen seers from its fold: Notices served to 112: Tainted seers will not be allowed to enter Maha Kumbh area, declares the President

The Akhil Bhartiya Akhara Parishad has banished thirteen seers from its fold. This includes e few Mahabaleshwar. Notices have been served to 112 seers and they have been asked to reply by September 30. The Akhara Parishad is determined to banish them also in case they fail to give satisfactory answers.

The Akhara Parishad has embarked upon such a bold step in order to do away with such seers and saints who were causing harm to sanatan dharma by engaging in activities that were detrimental to our way of life said  Sri Mahant Ravindra Puri, President, of Akhara Parishad. The seer hails from Niranjani Akhara.
Akharas are the centers of the faith of all the followers of Sanatan Dharma.
There are thirteen akharas in the country and all join together to form the Akhara Parishad which is the central body to oversee every religious activity within the bounds of sanatan dharma.
All the banished seers and saints will not be allowed to camp in Prayagraj on the banks of the Sangam here during the forthcoming Maha Kumbh the Akhara Parishad has announced without mincing words. We have even banished Mandakini Puri hailing from Niranjani Akhara and due to our efforts police has taken action against her. Any seer found on the wrong foot will have to pay, said the president.

Some of the anomalies that have come to light include seers indulging in amassing wealth instead of concentrating on religious activities. Several seers have been found having connections with criminals while many of them had taken money to get the title of Mahamandleshwar for other seers, added the president. The seers against whom action was in the offing come from different parts of the country
