Fire Erupts in Mumbai High-Rise, Leaving Two Dead and Two Injured

- Sajiya Alam Shaikh, aged 30
- Sabila Khatun Shaikh, aged 42
Both victims were rushed to JJ Hospital, where they were declared brought dead upon arrival.
In addition to the fatalities, two other individuals suffered from smoke inhalation and suffocation-related injuries. They have been identified as:
- Shahin Shaikh, aged 22, was also admitted to JJ Hospital. Fortunately, his condition has been reported as stable.
- Karim Shaikh, aged 20, was taken to GT Hospital after experiencing severe suffocation. Medical professionals have confirmed that he is also in stable condition and is currently undergoing treatment.
The fire brigade teams worked quickly to douse the flames and prevent the fire from spreading to other parts of the building. The early morning timing of the incident meant that most residents were still at home, making it a challenging rescue operation. Fortunately, the fire did not spread beyond the ground floor, limiting the scale of destruction.
Although the fire was put out within 20 minutes, the heavy smoke and restricted visibility inside the building contributed to the loss of lives and injuries. The affected residents were quickly evacuated, and medical teams were on standby to provide immediate assistance to those in distress.
