The UP police has been given strict orders by Chief Minister Yogi Aditya Nath to ensure safety and security of women.
This order comes directly from UP CM Yogi Aditya Nath in the backdrop of the brutal rape and murder of a doctor at the RG Kar Medical hostel and campus.
The home ministry has issued instructions that all places of work where females are working should ensure that they were not made to work beyond the specified time. This includes women working at government and private sector.
Orders have been issued to ensure safety and security of females working in different establishments.
CCTV cameras will be installed at all places where women are working in offices.
Copies of this directive has been sent to all Divisional Commissioners, District Magistrates, Commissioners of police, SSPs and SPs in the state.
In case of delay at work in the night, the office will ensure that such a women reaches home with police help.
Policemen have been directed to ensure safe return of such working women in police vans and vehicles.
Cops have also been directed to ensure safety of women on roads during night.
Police department has been directed to advertise women help line numbers 112 and 1090.The state would soon offer physical training to women on ways to protect themselves.
