The Uttar Pradesh Government has suspended IPS Ankit Mittal on alleged charges of harassment and misbehaviour with his wife and children.
The police officer allegedly in relation with a woman friend had been illtreating his family members.
The suspension comes following departmental inquiry against him on the complaint of his wife. The allegations were found correct.
The officers wife is the daughter of former DGP Gopal Gupta.
After this Ankit Gupta had been posted as RTC Chunar following his removal as SP Gonda.
As SP Chitrakut Ankit Gupta was accused of being involved in the false encounter of dacoit Bhal Chandra Yadav.
