Thirty nine years ago on June 23,1985 329 passengers had perished in Air India’s Kanishka aircraft (flight 182 )tragedy.
The flight was coming to New Delhi via London from Montreal but there was an explosion in the air 45 minutes before the flight could land at London. All passengers on board the aircraft had died in this one of the biggest aircraft tragedies. Majority of killed passengers were canadians and Indians.
The inquiry instituted in this explosion is yet to be concluded.
Priliminary investigations had revealed bomb explosion inside the aircraft as the cause of the crash.
Assistant Commissioner Royal Canadian Mounted Police David Tabol told section of the press that the investigation in this terror attack was yet to be concluded.
We have deepest sympathies with the families of those who lost their lives in this mid air explosion and we will never forget this tragedy.
