PM Modi at Adampur Air Base: No Mercy for Terrorism, Will Strike at Its Roots, Even Inside Enemy Territory
In a powerful address from the Adampur Air Base in Punjab on Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reaffirmed his government’s uncompromising stance on terrorism, declaring that India will strike at its enemies even inside their homes if provoked.
The statement came amidst heightened tensions with Pakistan following India’s recent military operation targeting terror camps across the border.
“Will Enter Homes to Eliminate Threats” — Modi’s Warning to Terror Sponsors
Interacting with Indian Air Force personnel actively engaged in the recent conflict with Pakistan, Modi declared, “We will strike inside enemy territory and not give even a moment’s chance to escape.” This latest iteration of his now-iconic phrase “Ghar mein ghus kar maarenge” (We will enter their homes and strike) was accompanied by a stern message: India will not differentiate between terrorists and the regimes backing them.
“The Pakistani military, which was shielding these terrorists, has been thoroughly defeated by our Army, Air Force, and Navy,” the Prime Minister said, adding, “There is no longer any place in Pakistan where terrorists can breathe in peace.”
Echoes of Operation Sindoor Across the Nation
Modi credited the success of Operation Sindoor — a massive cross-border military response to the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam that killed 26 civilians — to the bravery and precision of the Indian armed forces.
“Every Indian stood with our soldiers during this operation. Operation Sindoor is not just a military action — it’s a testament to the nation’s resolve,” he said. “Because of your efforts, the entire country hears the echo of Operation Sindoor. The courage of our armed forces is the reason for India’s strength today.”
Bold Action Against Terror Infrastructure
The operation, launched on May 7, targeted nine key terror infrastructure sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). According to officials, multiple high-value terrorists from groups such as Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM), and Hizbul Mujahideen were eliminated. Modi confirmed that dozens of terrorists had been neutralized, adding that the action was only paused at Pakistan’s request for a ceasefire.
Ceasefire and Its Immediate Violation
Following four days of cross-border strikes and retaliatory fire, India and Pakistan agreed to a ceasefire “understanding” on Saturday, brokered initially by U.S. President Donald Trump. However, tensions persisted as Pakistani drones were detected over Jammu, Srinagar, Punjab, and Rajasthan within hours of the announcement.
Drone activity continued into Monday, shortly after Modi’s national address — though no attacks were reported, and the situation remained stable through the night.
India’s Firm Position: Peace, But Not at the Cost of Security
While reiterating India’s commitment to peace, PM Modi made it clear that any future provocation would result in swift and decisive retaliation. “India believes in peace, but if challenged, we will ensure the enemy bites the dust,” he said. “The destruction of terror is our only response to the blood of innocents.”
He added, “This is the new face of India’s national security doctrine — firm, fearless, and forward-looking.”
No Dialogue Without Action Against Terror
Modi reiterated a longstanding policy: “Terror and talks cannot go hand-in-hand. Terror and trade cannot go together. Water and blood cannot flow together.” He emphasized that India would only consider talks with Pakistan if it dismantles its terror infrastructure — and only over Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
Pakistan’s Reaction and India’s Message
Responding to Modi’s strong words, Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry stated Reuters rejecting his “provocative and inflammatory” assertions, while reaffirming its commitment to the recent ceasefire agreement and regional stability. It warned that any future aggression would be met with “full resolve.”
India, however, remains unmoved. With Operation Sindoor, Modi asserted, a new precedent has been set. “Those who think of harming India must now realize: raising a hand against us means inviting destruction,” he concluded.
With Operation Sindoor, India has demonstrated a sharpened security posture — one where retaliation is not just expected, but guaranteed. Modi’s message from Adampur was clear: India will neither forgive nor forget acts of terror, and will crush them at their roots, wherever they lie.
