Uttar Pradesh Government Unveils Comprehensive Road Infrastructure Plan for FY 2025–26 Under CM Yogi Adityanath’s Vision
In a significant move aimed at enhancing road infrastructure and easing traffic congestion across Uttar Pradesh, the state government, under the direction of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, has approved a detailed and ambitious blueprint prepared by the Public Works Department (PWD) for the upcoming financial year 2025–26.
This infrastructure roadmap focuses on expanding road connectivity across urban and semi-urban areas of the state and outlines 62 distinct projects aimed at reshaping the state’s transportation network.
Major Road Projects on the Horizon
The new development plan includes the construction of bypass roads, ring roads, and flyovers in strategic locations. These projects are expected to not only reduce vehicular congestion in busy urban centers but also enhance the efficiency of transportation systems throughout the state.
According to the PWD, the decision to focus on such infrastructure comes after a detailed assessment of traffic pressure zones and population density patterns across Uttar Pradesh.
