An Apna Dal (S) worker Indrajeet Patel 27 was shot dead in village Abdalpur, Soraon in Allahabad on Sunday. The alleged killer identified as Sarvesh Kumar alias Sanjay lives in the neighbourhood.
Long standing property dispute was stated to be the cause behind the murder.
The alleged killer had two pistols in his hands and police had a tough time in arresting him.
The victim’s mother has named few others including Abhay Pratap, Virendra Kumar, lady pradhan’s husband Raj Kumar and another person Sunil Kumar’s hand in this murder.
The victim was a law third year student and was also associated with Apna Dal (S).
According to the victim’s sister Preetika her brother had gone out of the house to get a tractor for ploughing the agricultural land. At this point, the alleged killer came to the house and asked for her brother who had just gone away.
The accused followed her brother and caught up with him. He allegedly shot her brother from close range in the head.
The victim’s mother ran out along with others to see what had happened after hearing the gun shot.
The accused waved the pistol at her and others when she reached the spot threatening to kill them.
Villagers have alleged that policemen reached the the place one hour after the crime.
The accused had not run away and was carrying two pistols in his hands. When police tried to go near him he pointed a pistol at his temple to kill himself. As a result police went on backfoot.
However, he was arrested after nearly two hours of high voltage scene.
He was brought to the police station along with both the weapons.
