A post on X handle written by Bangladesh’s prolific writer and feminist Taslima Nasreen is doing rounds on social media and is drawing much attention.
Senior citizens witness to the war in Bangladesh ( earlier East Pakistan) say every word written by the writer is correct and meaningful.
Taslima who had to leave Bangladesh long ago is currently living in India after spending several years in Europe.
This is what the writer says in her post…
Tndia where 17,000 soldiers lost their lives saved Bangladesh from its enemy Pakistan is now supposedly an enemy.
The India that gave shelter, food, and clothing to 10 million refugees is now supposedly an enemy.
The India that provided weapons and trained freedom fighters to protect the country from Pakistani forces is now supposedly an enemy.
And the Pakistan that killed 3 million people and raped 200,000 women is now supposedly a friend.
Pakistan which ranks number one in producing terrorists is now supposedly a friend.
Pakistan which has yet to apologize to Bangladesh for the atrocities of 1971 is now supposedly a friendly nation!
