Congress is undermining AAP

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) launched a sharp critique of the Congress on Thursday, accusing it of collaborating with the BJP to undermine AAP’s chances in the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections.

Delhi Chief Minister Atishi and AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh alleged during a press conference that Congress’s actions were jeopardizing the unity of the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA).

“We refrained from criticizing the Congress during the Haryana elections, yet they seem to be working off the BJP’s playbook. Their candidates’ list appears to have been finalized at the BJP office,” Singh remarked.

He accused Congress leaders Ajay Maken and Sandeep Dixit of targeting the AAP instead of taking on the BJP.

“Ajay Maken has gone to the extent of labeling Arvind Kejriwal as anti-national. Despite Kejriwal campaigning for Congress in previous elections, he now faces an FIR, while the Congress has never filed one against any BJP leader,” Singh asserted.

Atishi shared similar concerns, stating that Congress appeared to be actively sabotaging the AAP.

“Congress candidates like Sandeep Dixit and Farhad Suri seem to be receiving BJP’s support, raising serious doubts about Congress’s commitment to the INDIA alliance,” she claimed.

The AAP issued an ultimatum, demanding disciplinary action against Maken and other Congress leaders within 24 hours. If no action is taken, AAP warned it would push for Congress’s removal from the INDIA bloc.

“We will call on the other parties in the alliance to expel the Congress,” Singh stated.

The Delhi Assembly elections are scheduled for February.
