The Khar (Bombay) police have registered an FIR against a Hindi film actor after a lady content creator accused him of molesting her at his residence recently. No arrest has been made in the case so far.
The 32-year-old complainant is a digital content creator. In her complaint to the police, she said that the actor reached out to her on Facebook.
He then spoke to her over a video call and asked her to meet him at his office to discuss video shooting.
On November 26, the complainant reached the location at Khar around 5.30 p.m. only to realize that it was a residential property.
She was ushered into a room by an elderly man. To her horror, she found the actor lying nude in his bedroom.
He asked her to hug and kiss him, came towards her, and groped her. She pushed him away and ran out of the apartment.
Later in the day, she received an obscene image and abusive text messages over WhatsApp from the actor.
She then approached the Khar police station where an FIR for molestation was registered on November 27.
The actor, who was introduced in films inthe 1990s, has denied the incident. The police have applied Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita sections 74, 75, and 79 for molestation and sexual harassment.
