The first Heritage hotel in Allahabad will come up at Sahabpur, Soraon. The proposal to this effect has been received by the district administration.
A committe constituted by the administration has carried out survey of the place that would be given heritage look.
The place will get a certificate issued by the government.
The district administration now focusing on Maha Kumbh had received two proposals for heritage hotels .
The first came from Soraon on the outskirts of the city while the second one had been from Mumfordganj.
Known as Platus Bunglow, this building in Soraon will be converted into heritage hotel on agreement that it’s facade would not be changed.
The second proposal from the owners bunglow known as Shagun Nilaya has been sent to the administration. The building is licated in Mumfordganj area of the city.
According to the Regional Tourist Officer Aprajita Singh, the survey report will be sent to the government.
According to the Regional Tourist Officer a survey of all old buildings in the city will be carried out to decorate them during Maha Kumbh.
