High Court takes cognisance of attack on plaintiff Couple inside Judge’s Chamber in District and Sessions Court on Monday.

Yesterday’s incident in the district court here in Allahabad has snowballed in a major issue.
A group of directionless lawyers of the district and sessions court in Allahabad who allegedly assaulted a couple inside the court of Civil Judge Senior Division Chetna Singh are in trouble. The Allahabad High Court has taken serious note of the incident and action against the erring lawyers is reported to be in the offing. The unfortunate and condemnable incident took place on Monday.
When the shocking incident started in the presence of the judge while she was hearing cases, the judge retired to her chamber and informed the CJM who in turn called the police.
The issue has been brought to the notice of the high court registrar.
Sources said, taking strong exception to this violent incident the high court is contemplating appropriate action.
The couple beaten up in this incident has lodged a case at Colonelganj police station.
The police in turn lodged cases against ten persons including four lawyers Ranvijay Singh, Asif, Mehtab and others.
The woman has alleged that her gold chain was snatched, her clothes were torn and her neck was allegedly strangled. A sum of Rs 11,000 was snatched from her husband.
The couple living in Kareily locality of the city had come in pursuance of a case they had lodged in which they had alleged that the lawyers had fraudulently taken their property.
