Northern Railways takes back it’s land from illegal occupants who had built houses on this property. Bulldozer razes all three constructions to the ground :

The Northern Railways with the help of Nagar Nigam demolished three houses in Sohbatiabagh locality in the city on tuesday.

 The officials of Nagar Nigam and Northern  railways reached the spot with a contingent of RPF soldiers  and told the inmates to vacate the houses.

The house owners were earlier served notices to vacate houses built illegally. They had constructed dwellings on land belonging to the railways.

The issue had been going on since the past twenty years. All residents were having electricity and water connections.

However, the residents on being told to vacate immediately, tried to resist.

The RPF, at this stage took control of the situation and  made it clear that it would be forced to take action in case illegal occupants failed to comply with the orders.

Looking at the situation out of their hands and law on the side of the railways, residents began vacating and  took their belongings elsewhere.

After this a bulldozer, demolished all the three premises.
