In a move aimed at settling the lives of youths, the state government has devised a plan to provide a loan of Rs 1 lakh per year to youth for ten years without any interest to let them carry out a business of their choice and become self-reliant.
In the first phase loans up to five lakh will be provided with zero percent interest . After paying back the principal amount the loanee will get a . . rebate on a loan of ten lakh. In this manner, the government plans tortoise an army of ten lakh entrepreneurs in ten years.
The minimum qualification for availing the loan is class eight pass. Those with higher qualifications will get preference.
The Zila Udyog and Uddami Protsahan Kendra has been entrusted with the task of furthering this project of the government.
