Talking about the accused, a doctor said Sanjay has the protection of so many Trinamool Congress party leaders. We are all scared of him. The dean of the college and the principal were in his grips and they feared him too.
He worked as a “Dalal” middleman or unauthorized agent in this hospital. This is an illegal act. But people with muscle power and political connections are involved in such sinister acts.
They are all connected to the Trinamool Congress party ruling the land of West Bengal since a long, say well-informed sources.

The unfolding events narrate that all hospitals in West Bengal are under the control of these agents who take commission in getting patients admitted to different wards assigned to different departments of the hospitals.
Nobody can directly get a patient admitted until and unless the agent gets his commission.
Sanjay Roy, the accused had been earning between Rs 40, 000 to 60,000 per month from this hospital.
Sanjay had been paying around 1 lakh to the Trinamool Congress party leader of the area.
This means Sanjay earned good money from other sources as well.
Sanjay had been getting one or two patients admitted daily into this hospital.
He had a case of family violence registered against him. Interestingly, he was still acting as a volunteer of the Kolkata police and was living in one of the rooms in the police barracks.
He had police written in his motorcycle and people and those connected to the medical profession knew him as a policewala at the RG Kar hospital.
On the day of the rape of murder, Sanjay was heavily drunk. He had come to collect commission from few patients. After this he consumed a lot of alcohol with an attendant of a patient, say well-informed sources.
One of the doctors cat the RG Kar hospital had revealed this inside story to a journalist also.
Under these circumstances it can easily be surmised how the administration and the government of West Bengal were functioning, the deep rooted nexus of politicians is rusting into the fabric of the society and people are suffering.
This also speaks about the model of the West Bengal government which is functioning from the shoulders of middlemen.
