Woman shot at and injured while she resisted the attempt of robbers to take away her jewellery box. Her uncle was also hit with a crowbar:

A woman was shot at and injured in Amilia Khurd village in the suburbs under Meja police station of the district by robbers.

The victim Radha Devi was sleeping. Her in laws and two children were also fast asleep when robbers made their entry into the house by breaking the door with a crowbar.

The noise of the doir being broken open woke up Radha Devi.

Meanwhile, Radha resisted the robbers who fired at her from probably a country made pistol but the bullet hit the wall instead of her.

However, the pellets after hitting the wall bounced back and pierced her skull.

Radha Devi’s husband Ranglal Patel lives and works in Karnataka.

The robbers also attacked Ram Bahadur, her uncle with the crowbar while he resisted the robbers while they were taking away a box full of jewellery.

According to Radha Devi two robbers had entered the house while four to five of them were waiting outside.

She has been admitted to a hospital. The Meja police are investigating the case.
