Former US President Donald Drump who escaped assassination attempt yesterday has expressed surprise that this could happen to him. The incident took place while he was addressing rallyists in Pennsylvania. The moment Trump heard shots he hardly lost time to duck as is seen in videos doing rounds.
A bullet had touched his right ear resulting in a streak of blood that came down his face.
The video depicts that the President really did a smart act to save himself else another bullet could have hit him.
Several shots in quick successions were fired from an automatic weapon as videos suggest.
One sees that his security personnel did act to cover him but they were not as quick as Trump himself.
The Federal police, however acted quickly and shot dead the said assailant.
One rallyist hit by a bullet was said to have been killed while two others sustained grievous injuries.
The assailant was not in the crowd but had positioned himself nearly 140 meters away on a rooftop.
Donald Trump is no ordinary man. He had been President of USA earlier.
It is surprising that the security personnel could not sense that there was somebody lying in wait to make a deadly move that could have ended up worse.
Twenty year old Thomas Mathew Crooks lived an hour’s drive from the place where the shooting took place.
As per reports, Thomas had the semi automatic rifle that his father had purchased.
Circumstances suggest that the attack was well planned and was not momentary.
However, there remain several unanswered questions.
Was the attack planned by this twenty year old youth on his own or there lies a conspiracy behind this murderous attack.
After all how could just a youth of his age could plan everything on his own.
Answers to all these questions are in the hands of investigators.
