Iron hoarding uprooted by hailstorm kills nine, injures more than 70 persons at Ghatkopar, Mumbai.

A high speed hailstorm uprooted a massive hoarding that fell and killed nine persons at Ghatkopar in Mumbai Monday afternoon.

Nearly one hundred persons were at the petrol pump on which the hoarding came down with a thud.

More than seventy persons were reported to have been injured in this sudden tragedy that has claimed at least nine lives till now.

Condition of several of the injured persons was stated to be critical.

The petrol pump is situated at Rama Bai Ambedkar Nagar, Ghatkopar.

The weather department is reported to have given indication of sudden change in the weather.

Around 2.30 afternoon there was sudden storm followed by rain. As a result so many persons had run for cover from rain to this petrol pump.

Meanwhile, the massive iron hoarding got uprooted killing and injuring so many lives.
