An Indian army soldier was injured after militants attacked an army base at Sunjwan in Jammu on Monday. Alerted by the sudden attack Indian soldiers sprung into action and soon cordoned off the area.
There was an exchange of fire in between but the militants managed to escape.
As the situation stands the army and security forces including the Jammu police were already on a high alert following several such incidents in the recent past.
Locals too were helping the forces to ward off militant attacks and make Jammu a more peaceful place.
However, despite being rebuffed the militants have been making counterattacks.
