Aparna Yadav, younger daughter in law of Mulayam Singh Yadav nominated as Vice Chairperson of Mahila Ayog

Aparna Yadav, the younger daughter-in-law of Mulayam Singh Yadav, who quit the Samajwadi Party and joined the BJP has been rewarded. On Tuesday the UP government announced that Aparna has been nominated as the Vice Chairperson of the women’s panel.

UP Governor Anandiben Patel nominated Babita Chauhan has been nominated as Chairperson of UP Rajya Mahila Ayog and Aparna Yadav and Charu Chaudhary as Vice-Chairpersons of the panel for one year or till the UP government’s decision.

Aparna had contested the 2017 assembly polls from Lucknow Cant seat on the SP ticket but could not win. She joined the BJP during the 2022 polls. Speculations were rife that she would get the BJP ticket from Cant but this did not happen. However, Aparna kept working for the BJP as an active member. She was not even offered to contest the Mayoral poll.
