A resident of Dandupur Jagdeesh Prasad Soni has his shop at the village crossing.
The miscreants entered the shop while the owner was at the shop along with his son.
The miscreants whipped out a pistol and looted the jewelry at gunpoint and escaped on the mobile they had parked outside the shop.

Police are investigating the issue.

They are trying to identify the miscreants on the basis of the CCTV cameras installed in the area.
According to Inspector Virendra Kumar Misra, police investigation was hindered because the victim had not cared to install CCTV cameras at his shop, It would have been easier to nab the miscreants in cast the jeweller had cared to protect his shop with tech help.

However, cops found out that the miscreants had stopped at a tea shop near the crime scene and had tea and snacks. They had probably done so in order to facilitate their easy entry into the shop and carry out the loot while there were no customers inside, feels the police.

Interestingly, the miscreants had not switched off the bike’s engine. The first one of them entered the shop and was talking to the owner while the second miscreant also made his entry inside the shop. All this while the bike’s engine was left running to facilitate their escape without losing a second after the loot.
